The service

KeySlice is provided free of charge and "as is", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Accounts

You do not need an account to use KeySlice. Everything the trainer does works signed out, with your progress kept in your own browser. An account exists for one purpose: syncing that progress between your devices.

If you choose to create one, you sign in with Google and you must be 13 or older. Keep your Google account secure; anyone who can sign in as you can read and change your KeySlice progress. One account per person — do not share credentials.

Ending it. You can delete your account at any time from the site, which removes your email address and your synced progress from our database. Deleting does not touch the copy in your own browser, so you can carry on playing signed out. An account with no sign-in and no sync for 12 months is treated as abandoned and deleted. We may also suspend or delete an account that is being used to attack or disrupt the site, under Acceptable use below. Losing an account never costs you the progress stored in your own browser.

Accuracy and intended use

Words per minute is reported on the standard convention of five typed characters per word, and per-key timings are measured in your browser, so background tab throttling or a dropped frame can shift a reading slightly. Practice drills adapt toward your weak keys and are not a fixed benchmark, so a practice score is not comparable to a test score or to any other typing site.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its results.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at a scale that degrades service for others, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Third-party services

KeySlice is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Builds of the site may also load Google Analytics 4 for aggregate visit counts. Nothing you type is sent to either. See our Privacy Policy for the cookies these set and how to control them.

Changes

We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date above will reflect any change.
